About the Event
About FAMSA The Federation of African Medical Students’ Associations (FAMSA) is a pan-African organization representing medical students across Africa. It empowers future healthcare leaders through advocacy, education, research, and collaboration to improve health on the continent.
SUZA Medical Students’ Association (SUZA MSA) is the official body representing medical students at the State University of Zanzibar (SUZA). As a chapter of TAMSA and an affiliate of FAMSA, SUZA MSA promotes leadership, medical education, research, and community service. Established in 1999, SUZA is Zanzibar’s first public university and a leading institution dedicated to excellence in teaching, research, innovation, and the training of future healthcare professionals
The 40th FAMSA General Assembly and International Scientific Conference (GA & ISC) brings together medical students and health leaders from across Africa to network, learn, and collaborate. Under the theme “One Africa, One Health: Building Resilient Health Systems Through Collaboration and Innovation,” the event promotes leadership, research, and innovative solutions for a healthier Africa.

Important Information for First-Time Visitors
Yellow fever vaccination: Required for entry to Tanzania.
Visa: Most African passport holders can obtain visa on arrival or e-visa.
Currency: Tanzanian Shilling (TZS). USD widely accepted in tourist areas.
Language: Swahili and English are official.
